DACTA Communities provide the opportunity for customers to share Educational ideas to learn from the experiences and skills of other members. By taking part you are joining a support network of teachers in similar situations to yourself. You may find ideas for lessons, or help another member by posting lesson ideas you have developed and used.

A framework for productive use of the DACTA Communities

This Charter provides guidelines for the use of the DACTA Communities, promoting the positive use of the service, offering best practice tips and describing the conditions under which the service is provided.

Eligibility

The main DACTA Community on www.DACTA.eu.com is viewable by all DACTA customers, however to participate you must be a registered user. Access to the LEGO^® Education Centre Community site however is restricted to users whose school run a LEGO Education Centre. 

Guidelines for use:

To make the DACTA Communities an enjoyable experience for all users, please consider the following:

Posts, personal messages and user names must be polite and inoffensive.
Be very careful how you express yourself, Email lacks the other cues and clues that convey the sense in which what you say is to be taken, and you can easily convey the wrong impression. If you meant something in jest, use an Emoticon smiley [ :-) ]
Be tolerant of others - users of all abilities and experiences share this Community.
Please ensure that before posting any video clips or photographs that you have the permission on all relevant parties.  Ensure that all videos and photographs are clear and easy to understand what they are showing.

Abuse of the service

DACTA can preview, verify or modify the content of users posts. Although the majority of members are responsible and considerate it may be necessary to take action to maintain high quality and to discourage antisocial behaviour.
The administrator reserves the right to delete any contribution or terminate the membership of any person adjudged to have abused this service.
Examples of inappropriate use include:
Posts which could be considered to be objectionable by other users of the service or the service provider.
Information regarding the financial position or character of any company or persons who do not have representation in the Communities.
Posting contact information including email addresses, phone numbers and addresses of yourself or others.
Posting of business advertisements and chain letters.
Suggesting or encouraging unlawful activity (including infringements on copyrights and licenses).
Posts containing links to inappropriate websites.

DACTAs role in the Communities

DACTA staff will be encouraged to register as a DACTA Guest to view the Communities, they may reply to your posts where a response will benefit the majority of members.

Posts from DACTA staff are offered as is with no warranties; use of the information within these posts at your own risk, in the same way as with posts from any other member.
